Possible Future Features

On the road map from this initial 1.0 release:

  • Extend the API to allow changes to any procedural parameter in the model. For example, after an SPM file is loaded, it would be possible to change the trunk's radius, adjust the leaf density, or randomize the overall tree before the geometry is computed.
  • Integrations into multiple DCC apps (e.g. Maya, 3ds Max) and renderers (e.g. Arnold, V-Ray).
  • Bindings for APIs other than C (e.g. Python).
  • Additional memory and speed optimizations.
  • Supporting games pipeline data such as separate LOD meshes.
